Atlantic Shores Inn and Suites

The room smelled relaxing, had a pleasant view, and the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. We also liked having a pool, an ice cream shop, coffee bar, and restaurant nearby. From the moment we arrived at Atlantic Shores Inn and Suites, the staff treated us like friends. They were welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to make the stay easy. I called while we were on the way, and the whole experience felt thoughtful. We can’t wait to come back.

It was an easy, convenient base, with cute restaurants and shops within walking distance and the waterpark and state park a short drive away. Noel and his staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless, smelled great, and had cozy beds and linens. Breakfast was great, there was space for kids to play, and the pool stayed open for long hours. We’ll keep coming back.

The hospitality was the highlight. Owner Noel kindly let us check out at 2 pm after our last beach day, which made things much easier. Service was truly 10/10. We’d recommend this clean, family-friendly, affordable place in Chincoteague. Atlantic Shores Inn & Suites isn’t a luxury hotel, but it covers comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. It’s right in the city center beside Steamers, where we had dinner. We’d called during business hours to say we’d arrive late, and even though the lobby was closed when we got there, check-in was quick and easy. Our double room was comfortable and clean. The beds are full size, which was a snug fit for me at 5’1” and my partner at 6’4”. The A/C worked well, and the ice machine was across from the lobby building. The pool was a nice extra, from 3 ft to about 6.5 ft. Breakfast had plenty of options: hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, cereal, waffles, Pop-Tarts, granola and nuts, fresh fruit like bananas, and coffee. We could eat inside or sit outside on the comfy patio by the lobby and pool, which also worked well for pizza delivery.

We spent two days here and loved it. Noel and the staff were helpful and accommodating, and the central location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. It’s one of the island’s older hotels, but our room had been renovated and was very clean. It came with shampoo and other toiletries, a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The pool area was clean too, with seating and gazebos. Breakfast in the lobby included muffins, yogurt, waffles, bagels, and more. A good-value, no-frills stay on Chincoteague, and we’d come back.
