At least the room felt cozy, and the female staff member at the counter was very friendly and gave us good restaurant tips. But the promised free breakfast was a disappointment: just bread slices, a few apples, and two nearly empty cereal bins. My partner, a restaurant manager who knows food service, said the juice tasted stale, as if it hadn't been changed or the machine hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I commented on it near someone I assumed was the manager, but he said nothing. When we left, I went directly to him and explained that free breakfast shouldn't be advertised this way. My partner added his concerns, and the manager only stared at us without responding, so we left. Our room had a few issues too. The shower knob worked opposite to its label, the lightswitches were very dirty, and one was splattered with food. The toilet struggled to flush. The beds were clean, but the sheets felt scratchy to my sensitive skin, although my partner and kids were fine with them. They weren't especially soft, but not stiff either. The bedspread was paper thin, and I would have preferred a softer mattress. The thermostat took some fiddling to get the temperature right. Our room was next to the lobby, which may explain the noise: even with a sound machine, I heard people running and stomping past all night, plus loud sounds from above sometimes. If you don't have better options, this place will do.

It was quiet and bug-free when I stayed in November, and the desk staff were friendly at check-in and checkout. The place was almost empty, maybe because of the temperature, with only three or four cars including mine. I'd stay again if I'm back in the area. A cute deer in the parking lot nearly let me pet her when I stopped on the way to a spot, lol. I like nature, but having deer that close could bother some people. My room was mostly clean, though there were rust stains on lampshades and in a few other random spots. Being near the water, that didn't seem like a big deal.

The stay was enjoyable. The room showed some wear, but nothing serious, and there were no pests. The employees were super nice, and one man gave us a yogurt. Breakfast was a little sparse. The bed was stiff, but the shower was nice. There was a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave, and the AC and heat worked well.

A very good value for what it is, even though it's not a fancy motel. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool was clean too, and breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Paying a few extra dollars for a two-hour late checkout was great. It exceeded my expectations.

The location is good, but there are definitely other options. Service and breakfast were bad, and worst of all, the place was dirty and had bugs. I booked three nights but left early because the conditions were upsetting and dirty. I got no refund because I couldn't save pictures of the bugs. I don't care about the money, I just decided to leave.
