The cabin gave our four groups plenty of space, with a king bed and bathroom for each, comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and great bathrooms. We loved the big porches, especially the top deck where we could watch Dollywood fireworks each night. It’s tucked into a clearing in the woods, so trees block the view beyond the property, and we didn’t spot wildlife during our stay, though the guest book journal mentions sightings. It felt private while still being conveniently close to everything. Just know the long driveway is steep, narrow, and rough on your vehicle from overgrown landscaping. In winter, you’ll need four-wheel drive. We loved having privacy with all the fun just down the hill.

Inside, the place looked fantastic, but it wasn’t kept clean. We couldn’t adjust the temperature, which was especially rough because I arrived with a bacterial sinus infection and fever and couldn’t turn up the air conditioning. The water pressure was nearly nonexistent, though being atop a very large hill may explain some of that. The driveway was difficult to manage and overgrown too. Outside maintenance was terrible: the grounds were overgrown, the decks were rotting and falling apart, and the exterior structure looked neglected. The hot tub never worked during our entire seven-day stay, and the provided Xbox didn’t work either. The jacuzzi tub pushed dirty bubbles out of its jets even though we followed the fridge rules and used no soap or bubble bath. At night, only the adults in our group seemed to get bitten by bugs in the beds. We still don’t know what they were. We worried about bed bugs, but they might have been red bugs due to the lack of landscaping.

We had a comfortable stay and no problems with the cabin. The company was very nice to work with after a wildfire two days before our trip made our originally booked cabin unavailable, so we were moved here. Beds were comfortable, and I didn’t take pictures since there are already plenty to see. Bring hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and charcoal if you plan to grill. The TVs aren’t smart, so bring your Roku or Fire Stick if you want to watch something. There isn’t much available otherwise.

Great cabin, with updated appliances and a game room.
