Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chincoteague Island Waterfront

The hotel manager handled the one small issue we had during our stay really well, and the customer service made a strong impression. Our family of four stayed last month and was very pleased. The hotel was clean and modern, right on the water, and our girls loved having breakfast outdoors on the deck by the pool while watching the laughing gulls. There was plenty of room for our luggage and we especially liked the large bathroom. We enjoyed the boardwalk around the building for evening walks, with the sun setting over the pool. Even with so many gulls around, the grounds were kept impressively clean. It's clear the hotel is very well managed and puts service first. We’d happily recommend it.

The deck is lovely, and even a room listed as having no view still gives you a decent one. The hotel is in a great spot. You can hear people in neighboring rooms through the thin walls, though. Otherwise, no complaints.

We had a great room and a good breakfast with waffles, and the staff were so hospitable. The view over the water and the back patio are especially lovely at sunset. We also liked having the restaurant right next door, its food was terrific, and there are other places within walking distance. Just keep in mind that many businesses are still closed in winter. Mid-April seems like it might be the best time to visit the island. The snacks for sale at the front were great too. We'd definitely stay again.

We love watching the sunset and the Hawkeyes, the really cool planes, from a bay-side room. You can also see Ropewalk restaurant, hear the live music, and watch people go by. Captain Barry operating outside the hotel is a hoot to watch, too. This is our favorite place to stay in Chincoteague, with a very convenient location, clean rooms, a nice pool, and phenomenal views. We usually book a bay-view room with a deck, which is a must for us. We stayed on the back side once and found it pretty unpleasant. The rooms could use a refresh.
