The fishing is the best in florida, and the locals are great too. My brother and I have been coming here for years, and every time we head down I feel like a kid again. This place is amazing.

You can cast a line right from behind your place, literally. There's a boat launch and marina, plus tackle and bait, laundry, tennis courts, a workout room, three pools, and three spas. A real nice Cuban restaurant is only 25 yards away. Fisherman's paradise.

This place isn't pet friendly. To get your dog outside the park, they expect you to walk it along hot blacktop roads. The hot tubs and one pool are currently shut down by the Florida Department of Health. Pickle Ball courts are only available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, even when they're empty. And here's the kicker: about 30 sites, roughly 20% of the place, are currently for sale and aren't moving. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Look at other options.

The rooms are basic and efficient, with no frills, but you wake up right beside the water. It's a great location if you're there to fish, and the Everglades fishing is only minutes away. Launching a boat costs $25, payable by cash or credit. There's just one ramp, so expect a bit of a wait at busy times. I've stayed here before.
