Holiday Inn Christiansburg Blacksburg by IHG

I stayed twice over two weeks and had a great experience both times. The dinner specials came right on time, and the food was good enough that I ate my meals at the hotel. Staff were kind and friendly, and all five or so people I interacted with made me feel like I was their most important guest. Housekeeping came daily without needing to be asked, the rooms were clean, and the coffee, hot chocolate, and tea station was always tidy and stocked. Breakfast costs extra, but adding it at check-in brings the price down to $5 instead of $12. Thanks for such a great stay!

Good lighting, helpful staff, and two breakfast attendants even came by to check on me. I liked finding real oatmeal at the breakfast bar, and there’s a Keurig in each room as well as coffee with flavored creamers in the lobby. The on-site bar and restaurant are handy, and the hotel is 4 miles off I 81. Our second-floor room had green decor with a leaf motif that made me feel like I was walking through a jungle, lol. The rooms are clean and spacious, but there are no USB outlets, so bring an adapter for your IPhone. The bathroom light switch is 15 inches from the door at belt level, below the wall-mounted hair dryer, which makes it hard to find in the dark.

This is one of the quieter Holiday Inns I’ve stayed at, both in its location away from the highway and inside the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast costs extra, which was new to me for a Holiday Inn, but booking it in advance added only $4 total for me instead of the full price, and the food was a little better than the free breakfasts I’m used to. We’ll return to this one.

I stayed one night on a work trip and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff were very polite and helpful. It’s close to Walmart and Texas Roadhouse. I’ll definitely come back.
