It’s been over 30 days and my deposit still hasn’t been refunded. I was told they were keeping it because I’d been rude, even though I was upset about their mistake and felt they treated me like a liar and a thief. I’ve edited this review since I did receive the deposit, and I appreciate that someone understood my situation. The receptionist said she couldn’t release it because she wasn’t sure whether I’d damaged the room. She had also accused me of lying and refused to let me into the room I’d rented. She’s related to the owners, who own this hotel and the Palms in Chula Vista. Take pictures.

The area was okay, though I wouldn’t walk around too late. Staff were cordial, and management was great. I also thought the remote charge of $25 was understandable. The housekeeper on the back part of the second floor was especially good. I tipped her because I only wanted the bed made, but she cleaned everywhere. Great service, she deserves a raise. Thanks for a nice stay.

I chose this place for the price, its location near the airport, and the promised Wi-Fi and bathtub. Neither worked out: the water was barely lukewarm, the tub wouldn’t hold water, and there was no Wi-Fi. The owner kindly let me use his personal hotspot to arrange a ride to the airport. I was disappointed, though the room was clean and the staff were nice.

The woman I dealt with gave me the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They accused me of taking soap dispensers and charged me for them. I’ll never book at this hotel again, or anywhere connected with it. Worst experience.

The whole room felt sticky, and within a few hours the bottoms of my socks were pitch black. It looked as if nobody had cleaned the place. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
