Best Western Schaumburg – O’Hare NW

The night front desk attendant was especially kind and helpful. She made checking in late feel easy, handled everything efficiently, and had a warm, professional manner. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well kept, and the hotel felt calm and welcoming. The location was convenient and the amenities met my expectations. I had a very pleasant stay at Best Western and would recommend it. I'll be glad to come back.

Breakfast was better than I expected, with fresh-tasting food and a nice selection of hot items. After my flight was canceled, the airline arranged a room for me at Best Western, 1730 E Higgins Rd. The shuttle picked me up at the airport and took me back the next day, which was a big help on an already stressful day. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a fresh, pleasant smell and a great bed. It felt closer to a suite than a standard room. The staff were helpful, and the stay turned a rough travel day around. I'd recommend it.

It's cheap and felt safe, which was enough for me. The room was clean, functional, and had wifi, but I wouldn't count on much else. The hallway walls and ceiling were stained and dingy, and the curtains couldn't block the bright skyline at night. The fountain by the front desk didn't work when I arrived, though it was being repaired by the time I left. The elevator could easily be out of order, too. My room's wifi was very spotty. This place could use a secret shopper to report back to corporate. No change to my rating.

Please save yourself the stress and skip this hotel. Our airline delay made us miss our connection, and they put us here, about 45 minutes from the airport. We waited outside in 13-degree weather with other passengers while the front desk kept saying the shuttle was on its way. We called four times to ask where it was, and after an hour it still hadn't shown up. We had to take a taxi, which cost $98 to get to the hotel and another $116 to return to the airport. For that amount, we could have stayed somewhere nicer with a shuttle that actually came. The service was atrocious, and the negative reviews are absolutely valid.
