Cindy Lyn Motel

Cindy Lyn Motel is set back from the traffic, so it's nice and quiet. Tony at the front desk is an absolute sweetheart, very welcoming, and got me a room that was just right for relaxing overnight. The big beds are super comfortable, the rooms are very clean, and there's cable TV with flat screens. In the check-in office they have coffee, ice, an ATM, and I love the bowl of lollipops. 😍 Tina, one of the room cleaners, is sweet too. I asked for extra towels and she brought them without any fuss. I'll definitely be back!

Bring your chargers. If your phone dies and there's an emergency, the phones don't work, or at least mine didn't. The room was nice but small, and the shower was tiny. There aren't even lamps, and there's no WiFi. The location makes it okay, but all in all it's pretty mid.

The online photos on Expedia and the hotel's website looked so cute that I went ahead and booked. When we arrived, though, the outside looked like a total dive. I wasn't about to unload the car until I saw inside, and thank God I waited. It was the worst hotel or motel experience I've had. They wouldn't refund my money, which didn't surprise me since they clearly need it more.

The room was huge, but the rest made it seem like the place had seen much better days. The bed was seriously worn out, the sheets were stained, and I couldn't bring myself to touch the bathtub because the bottom was black. I couldn't tell if it was dirt or a stain, but I know several chemicals and cleaners that would take care of either. Some first-floor windows were boarded up, which I could see from my parking spot, and other parts just looked trashy. Parking was so bad I'm fairly sure I parked illegally. The location isn't great either, on a major runway, and the surrounding neighborhood makes it worse. It probably used to be a luxury hotel.
