Hampton Inn By Hilton Circleville

The front desk employee who helped me that night was kind, apologized, and said she’d talk to the manager because I’d been patient and respectful. Later she told me I could get just one extra hour, since the manager was “playing hardball.” Even the housekeeper who cleaned my room witnessed part of what happened and suggested I contact Hydie, a higher-level manager. Staff said they wouldn’t reach out to her when I asked about getting in touch. When I said I might contact my bank because I hadn’t received the full stay I paid for, the manager threatened to have me removed from the hotel immediately. I’d like to send the videos to their corporate office so they can see and hear what happened themselves. My sister and I had a very disappointing stay. I booked one room for two nights and another for one night. On the second night, check-in was meant to be at 4:00 PM, but I couldn’t get into a clean room until 8:45 PM. Around 4:30 PM, the front desk gave me the keys and asked me to wait until 5:30 PM because the room still needed cleaning. I checked it every hour, and each time it was still filthy and clearly untouched. Nothing happened until I went back to the front desk that evening. The room was finally cleaned around 8:45 PM. I recorded each check, so I have video showing it hadn’t been cleaned during those hours. When I finally went in at 8:45 PM, the sheets hadn’t even been changed. I had to go back downstairs for clean ones and change the bed myself, which guests should never have to do. The next day I asked the manager, Steven, for a two-hour late checkout because I’d been unable to use the room for most of the night I paid for. Instead of hearing me out, he called me a liar and said my account was impossible because housekeeping leaves at 6:00 PM. I showed him the videos of my hourly checks and the room being cleaned at 8:45 PM. He said nothing, put on his coat, and walked away. The whole thing was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I stayed patient throughout and just wanted a fair solution after waiting nearly five hours past check-in for a clean room, then having to change the sheets myself.
