Quality Inn & Suites Circleville

The work crew is renting 15 rooms here, and this week a crew member politely asked if he could eat breakfast a few minutes early because they have to leave for work at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was already fully set out before 6:00 AM, but the staff member on duty was extremely rude. She compared it to “breaking into McDonald’s,” called him a “douchebag,” and even contacted his employer. Other Comfort/Quality Inns have been accommodating about this, and a 15-minute difference shouldn’t lead to hostility. Paying guests deserve courtesy, not insults. Completely unacceptable.

The beds were very firm, and the full breakfast bar was pretty standard, nothing special. Still, it wasn’t a bad place to sleep and the location worked well for where I needed to be. The rooms were mostly clean, except the maid had missed boogers on the wall. Morning staff were friendly, while the evening staff looked at us like we were an annoying nat.

We loved the area and were barely in the hotel since we visited Hocking Hills. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, plenty of grab-and-go items, and waffle irons for making fresh waffles, so there was a nice selection. We paid $200 for a king suite with a Jacuzzi tub. It was extremely spacious, and we loved the size, but the tub leaked around the faucet and the bathroom sink leaked too. The hallways smelled like chemicals or something. The rooms could use an upgrade.

This was our second year staying here for a local motorcycle event that raises money for wonderful causes. I hate writing this, but the truth is the grumpy front desk attitude from last year is still there. For some unknown reason, my whole group was put on the first floor and I was assigned to the second. When I asked to move, they said there’d be an extra charge. I’m a Recreation Manager for a large Resort in West Virginia, so I know a little about hotel operations. I wasn’t expecting them to jump at every request, but I did expect a smile or two and some professionalism. We won’t ever spend our hard-earned money there again.
