Quality Inn & Suites

Our house had to be tented, so my family and I needed somewhere to stay. We first booked another motel for May 23 to May 26, but it was disgusting, so I quickly reserved two rooms at Quality Inn. I'm so glad we switched. The rooms were spotless, and the grounds were kept clean, with someone always tidying up. Everyone we met, from housekeeping to other staff, greeted us with a hello or good morning. I didn't try breakfast since I don't eat it, but it smelled good. The sink was clogged from the moment I entered the room and wouldn't drain. The room also got far too warm, so I had to run the wall AC unit during winter. It smelled very musty, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The building feels very old, with creaky floors and little updated over the years. Outside my door, a loud bang from careless staff kept happening every few minutes, shaking the ground. There was noise at all hours. It was inexpensive, and they did accommodate my middle-of-the-night arrival, which I appreciated since nearby hotels said they wouldn't take guests after a certain cutoff time. Still, I'd need to be paid to stay here again. Sleep in your car.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from: cereal, fruit, juice, pastries, waffles, and yogurt. The employees I dealt with were pleasant, and I was comfortable during my stay. The room seemed fine at first, but looking closer, I found greasy residue on the complimentary shampoo bottle and stains on the sheets, so I avoided that side of the bed. I only noticed after checking in, otherwise I might have asked for housekeeping or another room. The price was competitive, and I can see why. What you notice at a glance is in good condition, though some details fell short.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and check-in and check-out times were better than at other hotels I've used. Breakfast was a real meal: eggs with bacon or sausage, pancakes or waffles, and the usual juice, coffee, muffins, fruit, cereal, and bagels. The pool and hot tub were nice. Rooms were pretty standard, and soundproofing could be better, but I loved my stay and plan to come back.
