Rodeway Inn Indianapolis I-70

The staff were friendly, and one of the rooms I rented was great. The other was really dirty, with stained carpets, and the hotel overall looks old. The heated pool was great, but the exercise room was still under construction during my stay. Getting online took too many hoops. Breakfast was average, with only about one hot item besides waffles, and I think one of the foods may have been spoiled because it tasted very sour. For what I paid, it wasn’t bad, but the hotel needs major renovations.

The room photos on the website don’t match what I found. There was a large crack in the window filled with clear silicone, the bathroom ceiling was coming down, and the room walls were falling apart. I couldn’t control the heating or air conditioning, and the elevators sounded like they might fall at any moment. The hallways smelled like smoke. I won’t stay here again.

Our first room was supposedly clean, but the phone was broken, so I couldn’t call the front desk about the toilet. It had been used before we arrived and wouldn’t flush. They moved us to a room that smelled strongly of pot. I’d have rated the stay one star, except they did try to find something better. On the second night they got us a nice, newly remodeled room.

Choice has the best customer service as a brand, and its rewards program is easily the best loyalty program. This particular place has a long way to go, though. The room had no AC and was hot with no way to cool it down. When I arrived, it was dirty, the window was wide open, and there was trash on the floor. I hope this location can deliver the real Choice experience.
