We rented kayaks with my two teen daughters and were able to float past the hotel, since it's right off the canal. That made for a wonderful location. We were there for two nights near the end of July 2025, and the halls smelled good, all the amenities worked, and the rooms were very nice. Breakfast was great and the service impeccable. It cost a bit more than the cheapest hotels through Travelocity, but it was well worth it.

Parking was limited unless you used valet, and there wasn't a hot tub. They offered free grab-and-go breakfast or snack bags, plus snacks and drinks on Wednesday evenings. I couldn't quite get the room cold enough, though that may just be my preference.

There was about two feet of snow, so getting my 10lb dog to the potty area was difficult. I asked the front desk to clear it, but they said the $75 dog fee didn't include shoveling snow from that area. I ended up shoveling it myself so my dog could go. If a property says it's pet friendly, I think it should have a place for dogs to potty.

The bathroom was great, and the hotel was conveniently located for what we needed, though watch out for the $40+ parking charge. We couldn't get into our room with the Hilton app. At the desk we learned the key entry system was down, so an employee had to come up and let us in. After that, one of us had to remain in the room whenever the other left. The bed was old and bumpy. Breakfast was crowded when I went down, but there were plenty of seats.
