It was inexpensive, the appliances worked, and the room was relatively quiet, so I’m giving it three stars. The rooms looked clean but didn’t seem professionally maintained. There’s a pool, but it wasn’t being kept clean at all, and the staff apparently didn’t know about its condition. If I had kids who wanted to swim, I’d rate it one star.

The beds were good and the place was fairly quiet, but that’s about all I can say for it. It was a low-rate, old hotel. The carpet, floors, and ceilings were disgusting. The bathroom was tiny, its door wouldn’t close, the tub wouldn’t drain, and the toilet seat was broken. The old curtains were ugly and dirty. I had to walk everywhere to find the lobby for check-in. Towels were old and scratchy, and the pillows were old and small. For a two-queen room, there was only one tiny towel in the bathroom, plus one small trash can. No ice bucket, and the remote was broken. The TV was small with a bad picture, and there was no TV guide or restaurant guide. Never again!

The elevator was blowing hot air, which was a little shocking with 105-degree weather outside. In our room, the AC worked great, and it was clean and smelled clean. The bathroom fixtures were nice, though the bathroom itself was small.

It was a cheap place to crash, and we got what we paid for. Our keys demagnetized every single time we left the room, and the door lock didn’t seem very durable. The room smelled a bit funky, like dirty carpet and stale cigarettes. There was no conditioner, I know, first-world problem. It’s a basic, no-frills hotel. They seem to have tried some upgrades, but it still doesn’t look modern.

The staff were great, friendly, and willing to try to make the stay better. The hotel was noisy, though, and the room was so cramped I couldn’t open the dresser from the front because there wasn’t enough space between it and the bed. The king-size bed felt maybe the size of a full.
