The bed was comfortable and the pillows decent, but the fitted sheets were too small for the mattress and came off before we even got in. Becca greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome. I was disappointed she didn't offer bottled water for us as Hilton Honors members. We'd asked for a room with a tub, and she made sure we got one. It smelled musty, though, and the tub had black footprints and what looked like dried boogers. We asked Becca to have the bathroom cleaned again while we went to dinner. When we returned, it was perfectly clean, with the extra towels I'd requested. Becca was smiling and saying goodbye again when we checked out.

I got downstairs at 5 a.m. and the coffee was hot and fresh, which matters to me. The room was clean and as expected, check-in was quick, and the clerk was pleasant and smiling.

Becca at reception was the only staff member we found friendly. The others didn't say hello or return our greetings. The lobby was clean, and the location is near the main road and a McDonald's. Our suite had a handy kitchenette by the entrance, a couch, desk, and chair, plus a comfortable bed. The pillows were much too soft and gave me neck pain. We liked having the sink separate from the toilet and shower, with a barn door between that area and the room. But at 5'1", I couldn't adjust the very tall shower head, and the shower floor got wet. The mat turned black when we wiped it up. Sadly, the pool was closed. Breakfast was limited: oatmeal and waffles were good, but there were no adult cereals, the bacon was greasy and barely cooked, the omelets were overcooked, and I didn't see any proper pastries. There were no trays to carry the food either. I hope the manager considers making improvements.

Three times I had to get up and move around to make the A/C turn back on, since it shuts off when it doesn't sense movement. The TV was frustrating too, with an unresponsive remote and no guide. Even cheap hotels have switched to smart TVs. And about 30% of the time, the soap dispenser is empty when I get into the shower and am already wet. It's easy to check before guests arrive, or use clear bottles so it's obvious when they're empty. I'm tired of it, so I'm going to start leaving bad reviews.
