The breakfast was a nice surprise: eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt. The rates were very affordable, which is why I chose this hotel. I live only about 20 minutes away, but I’d been in a funk and needed a change of scene while staying near home. I checked in on a Wednesday afternoon for the weekend and asked, if possible, for a room away from everyone. They put me not far from the front area. I’m not sure she understood what I wanted, and I had some trouble understanding her. People stayed right above me, and I could hear everything they did. Also, anything connected to their WIFI has to reconnect every 24 hours.

We got the first floor we asked for, and the bed was firm and clean. The room caused no problems, though there weren’t many outlets, so we had to work around that. The hotel was quiet, in a good location, and breakfast was good. The staff were nice and friendly. I’d stay here again.

The mattress was lumpy, and the TV remote didn’t work, so I couldn’t watch TV. The room could use an update, and $70 seemed a bit high.

The manager was great about moving us from room 106 to room 118 when the first one wouldn’t heat. It was freezing, and turning up the heat only made cold air blow. But the new room was extremely hot, probably around 80 degrees, and turning it down to 69 didn’t help. It kept blowing as if it were set to 90. The manager said to open a window. The pool was nice and warm, and the hot tub felt amazing, although only two jets were working. The room was generally clean, but there were hairs on the pillows and what looked like dog or cat hair on the blankets, including inside the pillowcases. The hotel itself smelled damp or like cigarettes. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, very firm. I slept only an hour, then left before 7am. I won’t stay here again, mainly because the bed was so uncomfortable and we had heating and air problems in both rooms. The hair everywhere on the bed didn’t help either. I’ll go somewhere else next time. If those things don’t bother you, though, it may be worth the price.
