The Dugout restaurant was very good after a long day, and there’s a great area to walk the dog. I came to Nacoochee Valley Lodge for a dog trial, and the rooms were the best. The rooms and grounds were so clean. Owners Cindy and Dough were wonderful to talk with, and they’d go out of their way to help. It felt like I’d known them for ages. We hope to return soon. This is the best place I’ve ever stayed. Thank you for sharing such a special place.

Cindy was such a welcoming, responsive host and gave us great local tips, along with thoughtful little touches that made us feel at home. We stayed at the lodge for a vacation after the winter storm at the end of January (26-28), and it became the highlight of our trip. It was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The quiet, scenic setting was just the reset we wanted. The lodge is beautiful and serene, and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Cindy, for making our stay so memorable.

The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived, and the whole property was well cared for. Our room was spotless, too. We stayed Nov 15th and Nov 16 2025 after taking a chance on Nacoochee Valley Lodge, and it turned into one of the best surprises of the trip. For the price, the value was amazing. It’s rare to find somewhere this clean, comfortable, and well-run without paying a premium. I’d recommend it to anyone staying near Helen, GA, and we’ll be back.

We booked the whole lodge last weekend for friends and family visiting from out of town after a graduation party. The owners added thoughtful touches that made everyone feel at home, and every room was clean and comfortable. The lodge was immaculate, and our guests definitely plan to stay here again. The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill is right next door for food and drinks, and Helen is close enough to visit. Highly recommend it any time of year!
