I paid for seven nights but left after four. I didn’t bother asking for the rest of my money back because I was so fed up with the whole experience. The management were friendly, but their handling of the smoking issue felt unfair. They said smoking wasn’t allowed on the property, while people were openly smoking weed around it. I was also treated as if I’d broken the rule without proof, while others seemed free to ignore it. It’s either a rule for everyone or no one, and this has put me off visiting the area again. I booked online early Saturday morning after arriving in clarks summit, because this was the cheapest option nearby. The website listed smoking and non-smoking rooms, so I chose smoking. At the desk, I was told smoking was no longer allowed, though vaping was fine. I went to my room and smelled strong weed right outside the door. I went out to my vehicle whenever I vaped so no one could blame me for smoking in the room. Later, I found a used toilet paper roll and cup in a plastic bag hanging on my door. The next morning, towels had been folded along the bottom of the door. There was no note or message from management, just a friendly wave and smile from one of the owners.

Jay checked in with me regularly to see if I needed anything or if my stay was going well. The rooms were bright, roomy, and really clean, and the value was super. I was completely satisfied with this Econolodge. Try the diner next door, too.

When our landlord sold our house, finding another place with two dogs seemed impossible, and we were at our wits’ end. The hotel and staff were wonderful to us and the dogs. They moved us from a small room to a bigger one at no extra cost, and cleaned whenever we wanted. I’m grateful for how they helped us until we found a place. My four nights here were exactly what I needed. The room was peaceful, clean, and comfortable, and there was no noisy crowd or partying to deal with. When I arrived, the man at the desk asked whether I wanted smoking or non-smoking. I said whichever would be quieter, and he put me in a non-smoking room in a quiet area with few guests. It was perfect and felt like great value. Thanks to everyone. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town.

The location made it easy to get to everything, and the price was very budget-friendly. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and well cared for. It was a better stay than I expected.
