We had a good view from our room on a higher floor, and there was enough space for three of us. The neighborhood felt safe, clean, and quiet. The location was great and the service was excellent. We didn’t eat at the restaurant downstairs, though it looked very popular.

Getting here by car or subway was easy, and parking a block away was quick to pick up when we left. The hotel sits close to Midtown but has a more laid-back feel around Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea. There are a lot of reasons the location works well. The room was clean, nicely appointed, and had a good bathroom. It was small compared with suburban hotels, but not tiny. Staff were friendly and efficient. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, though it looked nice. My one minor gripe is that I paid a little extra for a “midtown view,” but my room faced south, down 10th and 24th, away from Midtown. I’d probably choose a skyline view next time, since it doesn’t cost that much more.

The 24/7 market downstairs is a great touch, and the compact lobby is laid out well. There are seats by the elevators where you can wait indoors for an Uber or private car, which is especially handy in winter. The rooms were comfortable and had what I needed, and I got lucky with the view. The location is superb, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The security gentleman took the initiative and used his judgment to help me solve something instead of making me wait hours. Kudos to him. I’ll stay here more often when I need a room in the city.

The room was plain and small, and definitely not worth the price, even with the hotel near the Javits Center and Hudson Yard mall. The bigger problem was dealing with the front desk and accounting staff. Last month, I was charged twice for the same room on the same night because they had two of my credit cards on file. I’ve contacted the hotel multiple times to fix it, and each time they say they’ll take care of it. I also contacted the credit card companies, and they’re getting the same issue from the hotel. It’s been a nightmare trying to get one of the two full charges removed. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’m very loyal to Marriott Bonvoy, so this has left a sour taste in my mouth about the whole hotel brand.

The room was spacious by city standards and well appointed, with attractive, functional decor and lighting. The modern bathroom and shower were laid out really well, too. Everything was exceptionally clean and up to date. I stayed a few days to be close to the convention center. The neighborhood felt very safe, with plenty of good dining options nearby. The location was perfect, and the receptionist was fantastic, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable.
