Best Western Plus The Inn at Hells Canyon

I rented a room on 01-16-2026 for my children and me because of a domestic violence situation. Within half an hour, I was told that the person I had a protection order against had rented a room shortly after me. I told the front desk he could not be within 1,000 feet of me and that I needed to leave immediately. I asked for a refund, and the clerk said manager Jodi would have to approve it the next day. Diane called this morning to say they would not refund me, even though they confirmed the NCO with Asotin County Sheriff's Department. I’ll never spend money at this hotel again, and I’ll dispute the $240 charge when my bank opens Tuesday. The customer service was absolutely shameful. The owner needs to find better management.

The breakfast really stood out, with an egg bar and a big selection of classic breakfast foods, way beyond the usual Best Western spread. The building is amazing, and the large rooms are laid out to give you quiet and privacy. The pool and other amenities were all in perfect shape. This is my favorite Best Western location now.

We were visiting family from Boise and made good use of the amenities at this Best Western Plus. My kids loved the pool, and the gym had what my husband and I needed for workouts. The cookies and milk were a lovely extra, and I really enjoyed my omelet from the omelet bar. We had an amazing stay and will come back next time we visit.

The room was lovely, service was exceptional, and breakfast was amazing, with a cook who made orders to suit you. But the sheer white curtains had only 18" panels at each end, so people outside could see in. We couldn’t get dressed, sleep, watch TV, or do much of anything comfortably. We kept the lights off at night. The room also got full sun at 6 AM, making it impossible to sleep later. After 40 years of staying in hotels, I can’t understand why there wasn’t a way to close the curtains for privacy. We paid over $300 for one sleepless night and had to hide in the room to get dressed.
