Travelodge by Wyndham Knoxville East

The overnight desk attendant was pleasant and made check-in easy, but the room was awful. We booked a two-bed, non-smoking room and it reeked of cigarette smoke. The walls were extremely dirty, and the furniture looked heavily used and clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised. The bathroom floor was stained and dirty, and the sheets were stained and torn.

The heating vent had no vents on it and put out no heat. Cigarette holes were burned into the sheets, and the sheets and pillow smelled like smoke. Electricity was hanging out of the wall. This was one of the most disgusting places I've had to stay in or even walk into. It felt unfit for anyone to occupy. My dog gets a better place to lie down at the kennel. I wouldn't recommend it for anything. The building should be torn down, though the spot could be worth rebuilding on. If this is a Wyndham property, they need to investigate and remove it from their name.

After seeing a bug crawl across my pillow, I called the desk. They said it had rained a lot. Then I spotted four more. They did move me to another room, but when I got up to shower the next morning, there were no towels or washcloths. I called the front desk and was told I had to come get them myself. When I pointed out that a room costing $70 should have towels in it, she screamed at me. Worst place I've stayed. Never again, and I'm telling everyone I know.

The heat didn't work, the rooms were dirty, and there were baby roaches. Cigarette burns were on everything. The place was filthy and the service was terrible. A disaster, don't spend your money here. Look elsewhere.
