Motel 6 Knoxville, TN - North

I don’t feel safe here. There are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts in the area, and recently someone was stabbed in the neck. This place shouldn’t be in business. I can’t believe Motel 6 corporate lets it use their name.

The room had no fridge or microwave, and the pictures are nowhere near accurate. I got a refund and left after two minutes because I couldn’t stand being in there long enough to take photos. The mattress was warped and full of holes, the sheets and comforter had red and brown stains, and I counted over 10 roaches in a five-second look around. There were scribbles on the mirror and a black film on the shower floor. I knew it wouldn’t be perfect, but this was the lowest of the low. I’ve never seen accommodations like it. Other places at this price are nowhere near this bad. This is health-code-violation-level awful, even for a chain known for poor quality. Someone please shut the place down.

The rooms have no mini fridge or microwave, and housekeeping is poor. One night costs about $74 and change, while a week is about $384 and change. Prices go up a bit on Fridays and Saturdays during football season.

The staff weren’t friendly, there’s no breakfast, and the prices are outrageous for what you get. The rooms badly need renovation. Unfortunately, an awful hotel.
