Courtyard Atlanta Executive Park/Emory

The bed was a bit firm, though I still slept comfortably. My room was very clean, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout. It was a pleasant, relaxing stay, and I’d definitely return.

The room worked well for me: the bed was really comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and the bathroom felt spacious and uncluttered. The staff at both check-in and checkout were friendly, professional, and efficient. My first-floor room faced the pool, though people walking past could see inside unless I kept the dark curtains closed. Emory University is close by, but restaurants and a market are about a 12-15 minute walk, so having a car would make getting around easier.

A few things could be better at this otherwise standard Marriott Courtyard. The lobby bistro serves breakfast from 6:30-9:30 am, then closes until evening, so there’s no coffee available after 9:30 in the morning. The pool was open, but there weren’t any chairs on the deck. Rooms in the back row are very close to the highway, and the noise carries throughout the day and night. Parking costs $12 a night, which I think should be free. The accommodations were adequate, though, and nothing was wrong enough to put me off staying again.

The room was clean and the staff were very nice, but noise was a real problem. I could hear the highway because the rooms aren’t well insulated, and sounds from connected rooms came through too. The shower’s refillable conditioner bottle was empty.
