Econo Lodge Decatur - Atlanta East

I was in room 129 and found the digital AC and heater worked very well. I also liked the quick hot water, the easy complimentary coffee, the microwave, and the very long variegated pothos plant. The bath towels were a nice size, and the recycled green toilet paper was good quality. There’s an ATM in the lobby with information about Atlanta attractions, and a lot of stores nearby, including a nice Shell gas convenience store across the street. I met interesting people with different cultures, backgrounds, and stories. For the price, it’s an affordable place to stay, and I’d recommend it if I’m ever back in Decatur. I’m new to the area because of family issues in Central Pennsylvania, and a great new friend paid for my stay. The staff were exemplary. The nice staff member from India was helpful when I pointed out the TV remote was missing its back cover, and the Hispanic housekeeping staff were very nice too. There were some problems: cigarette burns on the bedspread and toilet seat, trash outside, a missing lampshade, scrape marks on the laminate floor, stains on the white bathroom tile, and the blacktop parking lot needs refinishing.
