Courtyard Clarksville

The staff were courteous and the hotel was clean. The location and value were great, and I had a good stay overall. A few small things could use attention: the lobby garbage was still full from the night before, and the coffee machine had broken lids. The room needs some TLC, though they're working on it. The outdoor fire place is a great touch.

The pool was cold and dirty, and the air conditioning was running full blast in the pool room in the middle of winter. There were dead bugs everywhere, and no hot water. We booked two nights but left after one because the hotel was so nasty. We were charged for three nights and overcharged twice. The workers weren't kind, and it seemed they were hoping guests wouldn't check what they were charged. Absolutely don't stay here. 0/10.

The staff were the best part of my stay. While checking in, we ran into one problem after another because changes at the property had caused a glitch with the key system, through no fault of the employees. It took four trips downstairs and a room change before we got settled. Dominic (sp) and Erica (sp) stayed patient, attentive, empathetic, and accommodating through it all. The woman at the Bistro was really kind and made me a much-needed cocktail. They're all superstars in my book.

We booked two connecting rooms last night for our family of six, and the staff were very helpful in getting us close together. The rooms had lots of space for our four kids and looked newly redecorated. The carpet was very new, with that new carpet smell. An extra chair might have been useful, but there was plenty of room. The downside was one room had lots of dead bugs by the window, including corn bugs and stink bugs, but no bed bugs. They looked like they'd recently been treated. A quick vacuum would take care of them, and they didn't bother us much since they were all dead and stayed in one room.
