At the end of our first night, we’d seen and killed over 50 roaches of all sizes. The small, nasty German roaches scattered everywhere when the lights went off. They were on the walls and floors and near our belongings. This was a full-blown infestation, and the hotel was fully booked, so changing rooms wasn’t an option. When I went to the front desk, the clerk casually said they’d been battling roaches for a while. All they offered was $15 off per night and a vague promise that a manager might call later. Another staff member told me, word for word, that the whole building was “disgusting,” housekeeping was underpaid, and management didn’t care. He spoke to me in the most condescending tone and did nothing but complain that he lives at the hotel and sees them every day. That’s the level of pride and accountability you can expect here. The manager later refunded part of my stay but wouldn’t refund all of it, even though the conditions were absolutely uninhabitable. I was in town for a festival, not to be stuck in a filthy, infested building. It completely derailed our plans and forced us to scramble for somewhere else to stay. I’m still waiting for the refund to come through as well. If zero stars were possible, this hotel would deserve it. Don’t stay here unless you want to spend the night killing roaches instead of sleeping. Save yourself the nightmare and stay somewhere else. This is an extremely unsafe hotel.

When we arrived, we were told the hotel had accidentally overbooked by 13 rooms and we no longer had a place to stay. We’d booked two months ahead for five nights because we were going to louder than life in Louisville. I asked for help finding somewhere else instead of being left on the street, and he got annoyed and called the cops. I wasn’t raising my voice at all, just asking for help, but he wasn’t having it. When the cops arrived, he said he could give us a room for 35 dollars a night, but warned that it was “bug infested, has no ac and a few other problems,” so they couldn’t legally rent it out. He suggested we go to Walmart for a fan and roach bomb if we stayed. Thanks for trying, I guess, but the room was terrifying when we looked at it. The cops eventually found us somewhere to stay that wasn’t 6000 dollars, but it cost us about two hours, a lot of stress, and extra money. We weren’t expecting luxury, but the way we were treated after they left us stranded through their own mistake was appalling.

There were roaches in the rooms, and the housekeepers were nowhere to be found. The floors hadn’t been mopped, and the beds had cheap metal frames with terrible mattresses. I don’t recommend staying here.

They aren’t very friendly there. There are cockroaches, they don’t clean often or check whether you need anything, and there’s no coffee in the rooms.
