I gave it two stars instead of one because the employee was very friendly. Let’s be real, nobody stays at a Travelodge expecting a high quality place. It was $66 a night, a low end motel in a low end city. I had to change rooms because neither the TV nor the AC unit worked. There was chipped paint, appliances that didn’t work, and handwritten room numbers. The room was cleanish, and it was cheap.

I won’t stay here again. The bed was about four inches thick and packed with springs, with no padding. It felt like an old pull out sofa mattress, and I woke up with the springs’ impressions on my skin. The floor had water damage, the decor was awful, and the TV didn’t work. There was no bathroom counter or shower shelf, so I had to put my toiletries on the floor.

The room didn’t look like it had been cleaned much. In room 106, there was dirt on the bathroom door and walls. Customer service was terrible too: I went to the window for my reservation, and he ignored me the first time I spoke to him. While I was talking, he closed the window in my face. I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

This was the cheapest place I could find that wasn’t an Airbnb. It was clean, with clean towels and bedding, but it needs more maintenance. The walls by the bathtub looked like they’d been repaired many times, and the hair dryer didn’t work. Hot water was turned off at the sink, though the shower did have hot water. The manager was personable and helpful.

The office is cool. I found a cockroach on the floor and tossed it in the toilet. Let it live somewhere else.
