We spent three nights here with the kids over Memorial Day weekend, and were very disappointed. The fire alarm went off twice, leaving their ears ringing and making them afraid to sleep. Staff said they didn’t know when it would be fixed. We requested a room cleaning on one of the nights, but it wasn’t cleaned. The beds were made with the same dirty sheets. We wouldn’t recommend this stay. There’s another Marriott nearby where we’ve stayed before and had a great experience.

I rarely post reviews, but this stay felt so bad that I want other guests to know. I was there four nights and wondered if sleeping in my car would have been better. The room was dirty, with lots of unexplained stains on the carpet, possibly including body fluids. There was long hair stuck to the bathroom tiles, even though my hair is very short. The couch was so wrecked I wouldn’t have taken it from beside a trash can for a garage or patio. The A/C filled the room with a horrible mold smell, so I kept it off. I asked to change rooms, but they were sold out, which I understand. What I don’t understand is that they promised housekeeping would come the next day, yet I never saw anyone for the whole stay. There wasn’t a do-not-disturb note on my door, as the room didn’t have one. The breakfast area speaks for itself in the photo below. This cost $214 a night in May 2026. My advice is to stay away. It’s nowhere near Marriott standards.

Management and the condition of the building were the problem. The place had broken equipment in several areas, and the listed hot tub wasn’t working when we arrived. We paid a lot for that amenity. The pool was freezing, the sofa bed looked like something from a horror movie, and the beds were awful. My back still hurts. The room itself was okay, but the door handle was broken, so every time we came back we nearly had to break in. We reported it to the front desk and nothing changed. Each bed had three pillows, which seemed odd for two people. This was a horrible family trip. We paid top dollar and would have been better off at Motel 6. I’ll never use SPRINGHILL or Marriott again if I’m not reimbursed. False advertising amenities and letting the infrastructure deteriorate is an owner or management problem, not a staff problem. It’s a shame to ruin a trip while caring only about profit. Return guests matter, and I can’t imagine a family wanting to stay here again.

Latonya, the guest service supervisor, made sure our stay went smoothly. She was friendly, professional, and a great leader whose high standards showed in her team. Naima and ShaQuanda welcomed us so warmly and brightened our day. GiGi, the housekeeping manager, also went above and beyond when we had a special request. She works incredibly hard, and her kindness meant a lot. The whole team made our stay wonderful, and our family looks forward to coming back.

The staff were great, but I won’t stay here again. This hotel is very run down, with outdated rooms and disgusting carpet. We had to change rooms because the toilet and TV weren’t working properly, the bed was badly worn and uncomfortable, and the room next to the elevator had no sound insulation at all. The second room was only slightly better, with worn beds and nasty carpet still. Breakfast was subpar: overcooked sausage, stale breads and bagels, and very few choices. Room prices these days should get you updated amenities.
