The front desk clerk didn’t seem to care when I said the room was unacceptable, and I was told to get my refund from the booking site. I had booked online after the photos made the place look decent for the price, but when we arrived, the building looked nothing like them. I checked the address twice, then decided to try the room since I’d already paid. I walked in and straight back out. There were spider webs in the corners and strange stains on the curtains and bedding. The mattresses were fully encased in protective covers, so there was no way to check them for bed bugs. I said we were cancelling and asked for a refund. No amount of money would make me stay in that room or hotel. Don’t be fooled by the photos. It’s gross, and unless you want to take home extra guests with multiple legs, avoid it at all costs.

Bugs on the pillows and stuff all over the walls. The TV didn’t even come with a remote. When I asked about it, they went to Walmart for one, but that remote didn’t work either. Honestly, how are they still in business? Come on, you all got a free motel to run, at least run it better.

My stay was fine until around 7 or 8 in the morning, when some weirdo wandered into my room wearing a flannel and a dirty knitted hat. His English was bad, and today was his lucky day. I normally keep protection under my pillow. That’s unacceptable, and I definitely won’t be back.

The waffles at breakfast were Texas-sized. Yum! I also really appreciated how excellent and considerate the housekeeping staff were. Thank you! I had a very restful stay.

The tub had been lined with white paint, so I couldn’t bathe my son. There was mold where you add water to the coffee maker, and both coffee stirrers had already been used. I had to plug in the microwave and alarm clock myself, and the promised couch with a pullout bed wasn’t in the room. I went to the office to say I had a dog and ask for a cot for my five-year-old, but nobody answered the doorbell. Then staff kept banging on the door at 9:30. As we were leaving, we got “kicked out” because the night person hadn’t answered, so I couldn’t tell them about the dog. All they had to do was charge me for it. Apparently dogs aren’t allowed, though that isn’t stated on the website or Wyndham App. Every Super 8 I’ve stayed at has allowed dogs, so my bad, your bad at your job.
