Hampton Inn Cleveland

I travel a lot for work and am a Diamond Member. This is easily the worst Hilton property I’ve stayed at. Many rooms show signs of being pried open or broken into. My assigned room had a damaged door and a badly bent frame. Inside, there were stains on the carpet and in the drawers. The HVAC cover had come off, with loose wires sticking out. The bathroom was a mess, and the toilet leaked at the base. There was no smoke detector in the room, either, it had been removed from the wall. My daughter has Celiac Disease. The breakfast worker wouldn’t check the ingredients in the food or let us check them ourselves. She basically told us to assume the ingredient was in there. That limited what my daughter could safely eat. If I’m back in the area, I’ll stay with a different hotel chain.

Hilton lifetime Diamond here, and this place needs serious attention. The staff were nice, but the building is nowhere near Hilton standards and badly needs a full remodel. There were broken elevator tiles, no water when I checked in, then a faucet that leaked after the water came back. The carpet and floors were worn and dirty, and wall repairs hadn't been painted. At $181, I'd head up the street to the Holiday Inn Express. This place just doesn't measure up.

Four days without housekeeping, even after I notified the front desk three times. By the third night we had to ask for clean towels, then go get them ourselves. The hot breakfast items didn't seem to be held at a safe temperature, which raised a health concern. The lobby was also so warm that our four families got overheated while gathering there to play games. This was the worst Hampton Inn and Suites I've stayed at.

It did the job for my work trip. The place is old, worn, and dated, but the AC works and so does the bathroom. Just okay, and it's no cotton house.
