The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland

The location makes it easy to walk to nearby attractions, while the neighborhood itself is quiet. The inn also feels more personal than a larger hotel, with attentive service and thoughtful details. My room was cozy, blending vintage and modern decor, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had luxurious toiletries. I enjoyed breakfast in the quaint dining area, where there were fresh pastries and locally sourced ingredients. From check-in onward, the staff made me feel welcome and handled everything smoothly. The Ritz Carlton is a delightful escape for travelers looking for something different, with a homey feel away from home.

The staff made this feel special from the moment we arrived. Pedro greeted us at valet with a big smile, Huda got us checked in easily and gave us a river-facing room, and Matt handled checkout just as smoothly. Bob was friendly when we picked up the car, too. We loved the room: spacious, clean, nicely furnished, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We started the morning with coffee from the Nespresso maker, then surprised my Love with room service. The oatmeal with apple compote, berries and raisins, plus a breakfast burrito, came quickly, hot, and cooked just right. Dinner at TURN was a highlight. Julie was a phenomenal server, and we enjoyed the Angus Reserve Filet, Pork Chop Milanese, Baby Gem Caesar Salad, and fresh hot rolls. The rolls were the best dinner rolls I’ve had. We were celebrating my Love’s birthday, and Julie brought out a Ritz chocolate cake and another white cake for dessert. Both were delicious, and it made the night even better. It was our first stay at the Ritz here in Cleveland, and we had a wonderful time. It’s definitely pricey, especially the $60-a-day valet, which is way overpriced. But this is an annual splurge, and the great experience made the cost easier to accept. We’re grateful we got to stay and hope to return in 2026.

They dressed up the room for Valentine’s Day with real rose petals, chocolate, and champagne, all complimentary. Pedro, the doorman, was superb, and Matthew at the front desk was just as good. Everything about the stay was 10/10, and I couldn’t have asked for better. A pool is the one thing the property is missing.

I’d go to this again. At the '25 CLE Ritz Carlton holiday tea on 12/28/25, the room, violinist, tea choices, and food were all great. AVERY, MICHEAL AND KATIE took such good care of us, attentive, kind, and professional. They made the event feel special, and made me feel special too.
