Executive Royal Inn Clewiston

The floors were filthy, and four dead roaches turned up. The bathtub had so much soap scum that I could scrape it off with my fingernails. There was no outlet cover, and a kickboard was missing.

The manager and housekeeping are friendly and nice, but I’ve had a flooded shower for five days straight. The rooms share a water system with the people next door, and their shower keeps flooding mine. The water comes past my ankles when I shower. It’s unsanitary and annoying, and they still haven’t fixed it. I’ve also had to spray some roaches, though they went away after I cleaned my own room. The plug-ins, doors, and sinks are cracked and need updating. I changed my rating to three stars because the flooding hasn’t been fixed, even though the service is friendly.

The owner is helpful and very nice, and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. My family of five fit well in the larger room, and the smaller ones are a decent size too. Prices are fair for the area, and best of all, no bugs. The place is outdated and needs a lot of repairs and maintenance, though at least things work. Wifi has a bad signal and definitely isn’t high speed, and cable only gets a few channels.

The location and the huge flat screen were the best parts. I arrived after noon and the room still wasn’t ready; they were cleaning it. There were big holes around the outlets, and although the paint was new, the place needs an overhaul. I never actually saw bugs, but I swear they’re there. There was also a huge gap under the door, so I blocked it with a towel because I was worried a rodent or lizard might get in.
