Courtyard Albany Clifton Park

The Key for Woman event I attended recently was wonderful. The food arrived cold, and they never brought the tea we'd asked for. There were lots of people in the room, and they were clearly short staffed.

The WiFi didn't work, and the service was lackluster. No one greeted or acknowledged me as a Titanium member, and I was told the internet was what it was. They also didn't mention the ongoing construction. I'm having more negative than positive experiences with Marriott, and it keeps disappointing me.

I won't stay here again. The used, dirty black sock I found under a bathroom fixture made me wonder if the room had been cleaned at all. My bed wasn't very comfortable either. When I told the front desk woman, who was older, wore glasses and had no name tag, she asked if I wanted the sock removed. Yes, of course. It was gone when I came back, but having someone else's laundry in the room was gross. I was also given a handicapped room, which seemed odd since I don't have any physical ailments. The tub was clogged, so water pooled while I showered. Before I went out for the evening, I asked why I'd been assigned that room. The woman said, “We have a lot of bookings tonight.” This was a Thursday, and I barely saw any other guests.

The hotel was extremely noisy. Elevators, HVAC, ice machines, and other things were all so loud that guests in very different parts of the building had to change rooms multiple times because of noise complaints. The hotel itself was fine otherwise.
