Residence Inn Albany Clifton Park

My company, S.E.S, has been staying there for more than two years, with over three years still to go. The front desk is great, and it's a good hotel, but Micheal needs to go. He speaks disrespectfully to customers and has no respect. If that's the kind of service the hotel wants to provide, maybe we'll take our business elsewhere.

Everything I needed was provided with a smile, and the breakfast was phenomenal. For my one-night stay, the room, accommodations, and staff were all top-notch. As someone who works in hospitality, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in town!

There were ants everywhere, and used bandaids sat on the floor in the pool area overnight and well into the morning. Half the channels, Netflix, and the phone didn't work. They offered to comp one night until I mentioned I'd booked through Expedia. After that, the refund offer disappeared, there was no apology, and I was told I should've picked a different hotel because this location caters to long-term guests rather than weekend visitors who want to use the pool. 🤔

After a full day of work and driving, I arrived to find that my room had been moved to a Fairfield Inn 15 minutes away. I had booked in July as part of a room block for a work conference, and I was the only person in the block who got moved. The other hotel was inferior, with two queen beds instead of the king and sofa I'd booked, and a portable AC unit running through the window. I called Marriott the next morning after I'd cooled off and filed a grievance. The staff member said the hotel would contact me to resolve it, but I've heard nothing. Very disappointing customer service.
