The people who have shown real care for residents are Carolina, Henry, Jonathan, and Colleen. The Maintenance team is AMAZING too, but they’re stretched too far and don’t get enough support from management. Everyone else seems more focused on keeping up appearances than fixing residents’ problems. The building may look nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a respectful, well-maintained home. It seems suited only to Airbnb and short-term living. My seven years at AVE Clifton left me extremely disappointed in management. I felt poorly treated and ignored. The building deteriorated, repairs were delayed, and management repeatedly made promises that weren’t kept. The pool lights featured on the website haven’t worked in five years, despite my reports, and the two grills for a large complex are filthy. The building also had a serious security problem: until recently, anyone could get in without being questioned. Management seemed to decide selectively when to ask residents where they were going, and some appeared to get preferential treatment. I’ve seen guests belittled at the front desk. One left after driving two hours because of the unwelcoming treatment. Management family members live in the building and spend all day at the front desk, which feels unprofessional and puts sensitive resident information at risk. More than once, residents knew my personal details, which is unacceptable. What really upset me was speaking with a senior corporate manager. When I raised my concerns, she asked why I wouldn’t live somewhere I didn’t like, essentially telling me to leave. That was dismissive and disgusting. I’d lived here for seven years and this is my home, not a job. I expect respect and dignity, not a lecture about whether I should live here.

Our service dog, Mochi, was welcomed and loved by everyone, and I really enjoyed the gym, free coffee, grills, swimming pool, and resident events. We made some wonderful friends there. The location was convenient too, with train stations and grocery stores fairly close by. I miss living there and would recommend it without hesitation. We found Ave through my husband’s corporate housing after moving back to New Jersey following seven years away. Ave Clifton was one of my best apartment experiences. The building was always clean and well maintained, and the front desk, leasing team, and whole staff were wonderful and clearly committed to residents.

The building and grounds are gorgeous, security is great, and the staff are amazing. I had a few regular minor issues, but they were dealt with right away and professionally. Everyone was warm and helpful. Thanks to Svjetlana for always giving my dog tasty treats, and to Reggie, Valentina, and the rest of the staff for greeting us with smiles and making everything easy. It was perfect temporary housing for my family, and I’d highly recommend the Ave.

The gym is spacious and well equipped, and the facilities are always clean. Our apartment was spotless when we moved in, with brand-new appliances. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Colleen, Valentina, Henry, and Lesley, who were always ready to help with a smile. We lived at the Ave for a while and it felt like living in a hotel. We highly recommend staying there and look forward to coming back.

It feels like a home away from home, a great, luxurious place to live in NY. So far, it’s been a five-star experience, with everything built and designed to make residents happy. The staff are really helpful whenever you ask, parking is easy, and the gym is a good size with plenty of sports equipment. The pool is a little small, but it does the job and the area around it is nicely designed. They’ll also accept Amazon and other delivery packages for you and store them securely. It’s always clean. One drawback if you’re on level 1 or 2: you can definitely hear a noisy upstairs neighbor walking around. How much of a nuisance that is depends on the neighbor.
