Best Western Velkommen

The staff were what made our family trip feel special. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and ready to help. The pool was clean and inviting, with surprisingly lovely views from that area, and our room was spotless too. We stayed at Velkommen Inn while visiting Lake Meridian State Park, and it surpassed what we expected. It’s easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at in a small town. I wish more quiet towns had a place like this. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Small-town hotels have been a mixed bag for us, usually not in a good way, but this one was a real exception. We came back for a second stay after an outstanding visit last year. The room was spacious and comfortable, and most of all, clean. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The food wasn’t very good, and the staff were quite rude when I asked about the pool. Pool hours and days are strict, but they aren’t advertised anywhere. Call the front desk to check before booking. If swimming isn’t important to you, this may be the place.

I got a good internet connection for my long meetings, and the pool was refreshing. Breakfast was nice, and the amenities were eco-friendly. This was our third stay at Velkommen Inn, with another very nice visit and a clean, comfortable room.
