Hampton Inn Clinton

I'm in Clinton for work, and this Hampton Inn has become my regular spot. They let me check in at 9 AM, which was a lifesaver after an early drive, and when I asked for a fan, someone brought it right up. The staff are friendly and helpful, and those little things make a difference. The breakfast has plenty of hot and cold choices, and it was excellent. The room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable I almost overslept for work. The people really make the place feel welcoming and taken care of. I'll be back for work soon, and I'm glad I've found somewhere comfortable, even if my job doesn't come with beds and breakfasts this good.

My family used to stay here a lot, but we won't be back. I saw the housekeeper in charge make beds without changing the linens, and the other housekeeper in charge, the colored girl, didn't change them either. The rooms aren't cleaned properly. That same housekeeper was very rude. When I told her I thought there was a bed bug in my room, she laughed, said they'd bombed and I should be okay, then walked away. The staff weren't professional, and I've heard the manager talk down to people at breakfast and coffee. She yells too loudly at them and is very mean.

The hotel was lovely and clean, and the staff were wonderful. Paige at the front desk especially made us feel welcome, never like a burden. She's certainly an asset to the hotel.

Most of the staff are decent and friendly, but the manager is disrespectful and walks around with a chip on her shoulder. I've been here about 5 weeks after relocating temporarily because of a house fire. We were asked to leave because a potato chip was left on the floor, even though housekeeping hadn't been in for two weeks to do anything. I'm not blaming housekeeping, but from what I've seen, the problem is the manager and poor management. My family and I are only here to sleep, since we're gone all day. The way this place is run is hard to believe. Please don't contact me to try to make this right. You've already messed up.
