We only meant to stay a night, but wound up staying three. Renee' arranged a wonderful first-floor ADA room with a roll-in shower, and Jen brought my husband a comfortable chair since he was using a boot cast and cane. They and the rest of the staff were genuinely kind and great at hospitality. The rustic decor is gorgeous, with a large lobby fireplace and tables and lamps made from trees. There’s an indoor pool with a jacuzzi, and some rooms open right onto the pool. They even lit the lovely fire pit out front during the day to keep us warm. Free breakfast is served every morning. We could see a Sheraton from the front of the Wildwood Lodge, but we’d choose Wildwood Lodge over any fancy hotel. I could go on for an hour about the good things here. They take hospitality to another level, and I highly recommend them.

The rooms felt fresh, with no mildew smell, and I really appreciated that they were fragrance free. The natural feel comes through in the real wood and stone details and the 30-year-old spruce trees outside our window. Beds and pillows were comfy, the mini fridge was cold, and we enjoyed the breakfast and pool. We also liked seeing the pets since the hotel welcomes them. The only issue was getting locked out of our room on two of our three nights and needing replacement keys. Otherwise, a great stay.

The desk attendant was lovely and accommodating, and the bed, pillows, and shower were all great. We enjoyed the pool, and the hot tub was just the right temperature with working bubbles. The place has a beautiful north woods theme. On an off-season Sunday, our rate was under $100, which made this one of my best hotel stays.

Traveling from Wisconsin for a wrestling tournament, we wanted a reasonably priced hotel with a pool and found this gem. It was very clean and nicely decorated, and everything seemed well cared for. The staff were great, the pool was amazing, and our family had a great time. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious, too. Next time, we’ll book one of the rooms with pool access because that looked really convenient. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We were here for our daughter’s softball tournament and had a very cozy, creative stay. The place is well cared for, and the front desk was great. The pool area was great as well. Staff kept the hot breakfast stocked with fresh scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pastries, waffles, and hot coffee. They were firm with all the wild kids but still friendly. A really awesome stay.
