Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort

The monk seals on the beach were the best part of the whole stay. It’s a shame the wildlife made us feel better cared for than the hotel did. The valet and luggage crew were the only employees who really stood out in a good way. They were friendly and professional, and seemed to care about guests. My experience with front desk manager Micah was the opposite. He was dismissive and unprofessional, and acted as if helping was a bother. He made excuses instead of trying to sort out problems. I’ve had poor service before, but this was much worse. I kept checking my reservation to make sure I hadn’t booked some kind of social experiment. The place somehow still found a way to overcharge me, even though the experience was already bad enough. Save your money for somewhere else. You’re paying for disappointment with a nice view.

The resort gave us so much to do that we could have spent the whole vacation there. We made shell frames, played poolside bingo, relaxed by the pools and hot tub, walked the paths, and spent time right by the beach. It was fun for both kids and adults, and the property was beautiful and well cared for. The two restaurants on site were convenient, too. What really made the trip special was how kind the staff were from the start. Everyone was welcoming, upbeat, and seemed happy to help. When we arrived for my mom’s birthday, we found towels and Hawaiian flowers arranged on the bed. It was such a thoughtful surprise, and my family felt appreciated right away. One employee came out to help with our bags, brought them to the room, explained the hotel, and offered recommendations. That set a lovely tone for our stay. Even when I asked for an extra blanket around 11 p.m., it arrived quickly, with a cheerful attitude. Small things like that showed how much care the staff put in. The pools were great, the hot tub was relaxing, and there was always a nice mix of peaceful and lively around the resort. We had an unforgettable Hawaii trip at Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort. Thank you to everyone there, my family and I will always remember this stay and hope to come back.

Our room was comfortable, with a king bed and plenty of outlets, including USB ones. WiFi was free and fast. The building seems a little older, but the updates make everything feel modern and new. There was a lot to do around the resort, from beachside yoga to lei making and ukulele lessons. The pool was lovely, with bingo and free shave ice each day. Food options included a quick breakfast place, a sit-down restaurant, and a poolside bar serving food. Staff were friendly and helpful. They pointed us toward our activities, suggested local spots, and brought extra towels when we asked. They were also just fun to be around. I’d happily stay again. The beach is small and isn’t really for swimming, but there are plenty of other beaches nearby in Kauai.

We’d read some mixed reviews and arrived with our expectations lowered, but our room was very nice and the property itself is beautiful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the location is convenient for many attractions. There are newer, fancier places, sure, but for the price we felt we’d picked a winner. We’d gladly come back and recommend it.
