The beds were the best part, firm and flat, and everything in the room worked as it should, from the lights and TV to the water. It had been recently painted and was clean. There was no fridge or microwave. The mini-putt across the street played loud music while it was open, but it closed at 9 p.m. and things were quiet after that. I felt safe on the strip, a few doors from Ron Jon’s. Affordable, with helpful and professional staff, and it gets the basics right.

I travel to Cocoa Beach for work once a year and picked this motel to save a little money. The online photos made it look like an okay place to sleep, but my stay was a mess. First they put me in the wrong room, then the front desk insisted it was right until I showed my reservation for a Deluxe Room. The replacement room smelled bad, felt dirty, and had a toilet that didn't work. In the lot, people were working on cars, the building needed upkeep, and the people staying there made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I gave back my key and found a room two properties away for two nights. I know it's a Motel 6, but they should still maintain the property, keep rooms clean and working, and provide a safe, comfortable place. I guess that's what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

The motel was run down and disgustingly dirty. Our sheets had black dirt, hair, and wrinkles from prior use, and we found roaches in the bed. There wasn't any soap, shampoo, or toilet paper in the room, so we had to ask at the front office. From what I saw, several homeless people were living there. It should be left for the homeless.

The room door didn't feel secure. Its frame had been broken open and patched with pin nails, and the room was disgustingly dirty. The website says there's a pool, but it was half empty and the water was green. I was worried about the condition of the property as soon as I arrived and asked for a refund, but they refused. They put me in the wrong room, without a fridge or microwave, then told me my receipt was mistaken and that I'd gotten what I paid for. The next day, after a trip to the beach, I found myself locked out. I can only assume it was because Capital One Travel had contacted the motel about a refund, after Motel 6 management had already denied one. They seemed angry, and it felt like customers had no rights even when the property told them to leave. The staff seemed unethical throughout. I was forced to leave the room I'd paid for and went to La Quinta by Western Cocoa Beach. It cost $300 more, but I felt safe there. There are local places at similar rates that are much more accommodating, so don't make my mistake to save a dollar. I believe this place may be getting ready to be condemned and is taking money for any room it can, whether ethically or not. In my view, it's clearly falsely advertised and should be considered fraud.

We prepaid for two nights through Booking.com, but left after one. On arrival, they gave us the wrong room, without a microwave or fridge. Our confirmation showed queen beds, not doubles, plus a microwave, fridge, and an accessible room. The woman at the office said Booking.com had listed the rooms incorrectly and that I'd chosen that room. She eventually gave us a “free” upgrade, but I had to clean it before we could use it and went out to buy Lysol to spray everything. The floors, microwave, toilet, and tub were nasty. Booking.com said a refund depended on the motel's approval and could take 7-12 days. At 6:30 a.m., someone yelling woke us. Outside, a woman had her belongings thrown on the sidewalk and was screaming that “he” had choked and hit her. The police arrived shortly afterward.
