South Beach Inn - Cocoa Beach

The beach is only 30 yards away, which is a big plus, and the kitchen has a full-size fridge, stove, and microwave. The rooms are somewhat dated but fairly clean, with a real 60s to early 70s feel. My one complaint is the small TV in the kitchen/foyer, since there's no television in the bedroom area. I suppose people staying here probably spend more time at the beach anyway. I'd recommend it if you're coming for the beach and mainly need somewhere to sleep.

South Beach Inn in Cocoa Beach was exactly the quiet place we needed to unwind after our cruise before heading home. It's right on the sand, and the old Florida seaside feel made it easy to settle in. We were in suite #1, which had plenty of space, two bedrooms, a full bath, and a small galley kitchen for making a relaxed meal. It felt more like a simple, homey beach cottage than a hotel room, with the ocean breeze just steps away. There was a shaded hut outside with a hammock and chairs, a nice spot to read or nap in the salty air. The pavilion had gas and charcoal grills for sunset cookouts. They also had complimentary beach gear, including umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, and fishing poles, plus horseshoes and cornhole for some casual fun. The inn is showing its age and could use some updates, but that fits its laid-back charm. It's not fancy, just genuine and relaxing, with waves to listen to and shoes to kick off. For us, it was a great way to ease back into everyday life after days at sea.

We had to leave and find somewhere else to stay because the artificial fragrance in the rooms was so overpowering. It could be a serious problem for people with asthma or other lung sensitivities, even if most guests aren't bothered by it. I hope the owners consider reducing or removing the fragrances to make the inn safer and more comfortable for everyone. The inn itself is charming and quiet, a little south of Cocoa Beach, with nice rooms and a fantastic spot close to the water.

The staff were the real treasure here, always smiling, attentive, and ready to help. We had a wonderful time and would come back without hesitation. Our room was spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated, making it feel both comfortable and luxurious. From the balcony, the sea view had endless shades of blue, and it was breathtaking every morning. The restaurant also serves great burgers and has a wonderful selection of wines. From the moment we arrived, the place felt like paradise. If you're looking for the sea and great service, this is the hotel!
