Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort

My parents own a timeshare here, so we came for the week. The rooms were clean, dog friendly, and cute. Stevie, the activities guy, was silly and hilarious with the kids, and Raymond, the shuttle driver, was amazing. Sue at the bar was absolutely amazing too, especially her White Russians. The security guy was so friendly and nice. We’ll be back!

Our two-bedroom suite felt like home, with plenty of space, a full kitchen, and a living room. You don’t get this much room at a typical hotel for the same price. The staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived, and the relaxed atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. It’s right by the beach, with a restaurant and bar on site where both the food and service were great. Alex at the bar was fantastic. She also teaches surfing, and my two boys had an amazing time taking lessons with her. The amenities include a heated pool, hot tub, kids’ splash pad, lazy river, BBQ area, free laundry, and free Wi-Fi. The lazy river isn’t heated, but that didn’t bother us much since the pool and hot tub were perfect in the cooler weather. There was entertainment on site, which made the holiday period feel special. Even though it’s a timeshare resort, nobody pushed it on us. I wasn’t interested in a timeshare, but I’d absolutely stay at a Westgate property again. The facilities were excellent, the staff outstanding, and the value hard to beat. I’d definitely return.

The two-bedroom suite was comfortable, clean, and had a pretty well-equipped kitchen. We booked a pool view, but the pool was active and noisy; luckily, the bedrooms were at the back, so it wasn’t a problem. The pool and splash pad were fairly warm, while the lazy river was so cold we didn’t try it. The beach was nice and not an excessive walk from the pool. We rented chairs and an umbrella for under $40 for the whole day, left them while we went to lunch, and they were still there when we got back with nobody taking our spot. The main small issues were that the pool towels were tiny, and we had to call for dry ones. Unlike other resorts, they don’t normally provide towels at the beach or pool. I’d suggest getting groceries before you arrive and bringing your own beach towels. We’d absolutely go back.

We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and still love it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is great, within walking distance of the beach. There’s a great pool area with a bar, food, and entertainment. Steve, the activities guy, is fun and entertaining, and Sue and the other bartenders have always been amazing. All the staff are warm and friendly. My one minor complaint is that the pool music was a little too loud during the day on this last stay. We love musical entertainment, but it made it harder to fully relax out there. We’ll be back soon. Thanks for keeping this a great resort destination for us all these years.
