We come back here often, and the friendly, welcoming staff are a big part of why. Rooms are clean and nicely laid out, with a roomy shower and really comfortable beds. The pillows are soft, but there are four on each bed, which works great. The Mosaic District is an easy walk, with plenty of places to eat, drink, shop, and seasonal markets or festivals. There’s a Metro station nearby, about a 20-minute walk, and I-95 is right there. Breakfast is standard hotel fare and not especially exciting, so we usually skip it. Le Pain Quotidien next door is a nice option, and there are lots of other choices within a 15-minute drive. Great hotel!

We picked Archer Hotel for my niece’s wedding weekend, and it made the whole visit feel easy and special. My brother had booked several rooms for family and wedding guests. The bride and groom stayed in the Grand Den Room, which was beautiful, with a deep soaking tub and a separate private bedroom. On Friday night, my brother reserved the hotel bar for everyone to gather before the wedding, and it was a lovely setting for getting family and friends together. The staff were warm and genuinely friendly, and our room was elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel is right in the Mosaic District, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, bars, boutiques, markets, and entertainment, all walkable. There’s also convenient multi-level parking. On Sunday, we went to the nearby market a couple of blocks away. It had local vendors, produce, artisan foods, ice cream, smoothies, and food from around the world. Families and kids were out enjoying the lively community atmosphere. Between the service, rooms, and location, this was a memorable stay. I’d happily return and recommend Archer Hotel to anyone visiting the Falls Church area.

Tetyan made me feel valued from the moment I arrived. She was friendly, attentive, positive, and professional, and handled everything with real care. You can tell she loves her work by the way she treats people. The welcome and service at Archer Hotel were thoughtful all around, but Tetyan is what turned a good stay into a memorable one. She’s a real asset to the team. I’ll be back and will recommend the hotel based on her service alone.

I found Archer through a referral after staying at the Ritz in DC and VA and at a couple of Marriott Residence Inns while visiting family. I’d place Archer somewhere between Marriott and the Ritz. The property is clean and well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are friendly, courteous, and ready to help. This Fairfax one is especially convenient, in the Merryfield shopping section with stores and restaurants mostly within walking distance. Breakfast is about what you’d expect at a Marriott type of hotel. My main issue is the bedding. They don’t put a top sheet on the beds, which I found pretty off-putting. Unless the comforter is replaced for every new guest, I want clean sheets between me and it. They said they could provide a sheet if asked. Breakfast is free, and there’s also a $25 food and beverage credit at the bar. I haven’t stayed at the Alexandria location. The Tysons Corner sister hotel is newer and nicer, with very friendly staff, but it’s in an industrial area and you need a car to get around. Its free restaurant breakfast is a little better, since you’re not limited to powdered eggs, oatmeal, and cereal.

We had a really pleasant stay in a studio king suite. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the local treats and notes were a nice touch. I also liked having slippers in the room. We arrived around 4 a.m., and Mohammed at the front desk was very helpful checking us in. The front desk person at checkout was helpful too, though I’m sorry I forgot his name. They also granted our request for a late checkout. It was our first time booking a boutique hotel, and Archer Hotel in Falls Church, Virginia did not disappoint. The Mosaic District location made it easy to walk to restaurants and shops. There’s a Target nearby for groceries, plus a park, and it was nice walking around both during the day and at night. Breakfast could have had more choices than a big chain hotel. We hoped for more meat options like bacon and sausages, but they only had eggs. My husband is on a ketogenic diet, so more protein would’ve been good, though it wasn’t a deal breaker. There were several kinds of pastries, fruit, bread, oatmeal and cereal, plus yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea. The room had a slight plastic-like smell when we walked in. It wasn’t unpleasant or a big deal for us, and we didn’t report it. I think it may have come from the blinds. A room diffuser or incense could be a nice addition.
