Big Bear Motel

We found this motel convenient for a Yellowstone trip, on the west side of Cody. The drive from town up to the park is breathtaking. Staff were extremely friendly, and our room was clean and fresh, making this a good spot to rest on the way to or from the park. It’s budget friendly and pet friendly, too.

For a nice town, the price was awesome. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and the service was great. Yellowstone is about an hour away.

This family-run motel is handy for Yellowstone and good value. It’s a bit outside town, but a $15 cab ride gets you there. There’s no food at the motel, though there’s a great café across the road. It’s not the Radisson, but it is clean and comfortable.

We liked sitting outside our room, especially on our extended stay, and the staff here were very nice. The rooms feel small, partly because of their odd layout. There wasn’t another place for the microwave, so it sat right on the sink. We booked a king, but it turned out to be two smaller beds pushed together, and they slid around easily. Some outlets didn’t work at first. Staff fixed a breaker, so we didn’t have to switch rooms. The dryer quit with our clothes still wet, though, and we had to go to a 24-hour laundromat.
