We were able to watch a herd of elk near the property on our last morning, and Rod lent us a spotting scope to use in Yellowstone. The night before, he lit the fire pit so we could sit under a sky full of stars. We also spent time with the pool table and big-screen TV in the family room. We booked all three rooms, and each had a private bathroom. They were roomy, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with memorable views from the rooms and around the property. Suzie made two wonderful breakfasts, quiche one morning and Eggs Benedict the next. Our first proper bed and breakfast stay was at the Windmill Inn, and we couldn't be happier with the choice. Thanks, Rod and Suzie, for such a memorable visit. We hope to return.

Suzie's breakfasts were delicious, and Rod and Suzie made us feel so welcome. Rod is a guide and was a huge help while we used the inn as a base for exploring the area, especially Yellowstone over several days. They seemed to know where to look for grizzlies, wolves, and nesting birds, and we got to see some amazing wildlife. You couldn't ask for a better bed and breakfast.

The cabin is separate from the main house, and from there it's about 20 minutes to Cody for museums, food, shopping, the rodeo, and plenty more. Yellowstone is roughly 30 minutes west. Breakfast was hot and ready each morning, and when we needed an early start they even packed meals to go. Rod also had useful advice on what to see and when. We drove our pickup all the way from Ohio to Wyoming and weren't sure what to expect, so we trusted the previous reviews. Rod and Susie turned out to be wonderful hosts, and the setting was beautiful. They helped make it a great vacation. If you're heading to Yellowstone, I'd stay here.

We had a great time and are already hoping to return soon. Bo the dog and B.C. the cat were lovely company, and the mountain views from the deck were beautiful while we had coffee by the fire pit. Rod also shared helpful advice for driving through Yellowstone. Cody is an easy drive away, with plenty to do nearby. Rod and Suzie welcomed us warmly into their lovely home. Our Wapiti room was clean and well arranged, with a huge, recently remodeled bathroom. Breakfast was great, too. They have a real knack for making guests feel at home, and we were grateful for the care they put into giving travelers a comfortable place to stay so far from home.

Bo, their dog, was the perfect companion, and Rod and Suzie made the inn feel like a home away from home. Rod took time to point out Yellowstone highlights to watch for. I later learned he also guides people through the park, which sounds great and will come in handy next time. Wish we'd known about that before our visit. Suzie's a phenomenal cook. We had quiche one morning and Eggs Benedict the other during our two-night stay. They set a high bar for our first B&B, and the only thing we wished was that we could stay longer.
