Green Gables Inn

After traveling around the country and staying in budget motels, this place felt like home. Cody is usually a welcome stop for me, but the motel still managed to beat my expectations. The room was really clean, the bed was comfortable with enough pillows, and I liked having a fridge, microwave, and Roku TV. The showerhead was fantastic, and even the composite decking outside was a nice touch. Staff welcomed me warmly. Anyone finding fault with this place is nitpicking.

The one thing I’d flag is the loose step at the top of a VERY steep staircase. I stumbled on it while carrying all my luggage. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the small room was clean. It’s about an hour from Yellowstone and reasonably priced.

The beds were comfortable and I slept great. The AC worked fine too, and the checkout clerk was friendly and helpful with tips about town events. The rooms were clean, though small, and the chairs weren’t comfortable for me. The toilet was tiny and awkward to use. It’s a good small-town hotel. Call the hotel for walk-in prices before booking online, since I could’ve saved some money.

I usually stick with Hilton chains as a Hilton Honors diamond member, but all of Cody’s Hilton hotels were booked when I was driving through on my way to Montana for the night. I’m glad I found The Inn. It was quaint, cute, clean, cozy, and comfortable, with a room that was much nicer than I expected and lovely views. The staff were helpful and hospitable too. Five stars all around!
