Comfort Inn at Buffalo Bill Village Resort

We got a good night's sleep in a quiet room with a super comfortable bed. Guests can get free coffee in the foyer, and the breakfast service was great. We also got a surprise visit from the local ghost, George, who played us a tune on the piano.

The dining area is in its own building, separate from both buildings with guest rooms. It was raining, so we loaded our two mobility scooters into the SUV and drove a few hundred feet across the parking lot to avoid getting them wet. The vending and ice machines for the back building are outside, which I wouldn't want to deal with in winter. There also seemed to be limited handicap parking by that building, at least from what we could see. We couldn't get extra pillows either. The desk said they'd handed out the last two just before we called. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Calling it a “Choice” hotel? I don't think so. Choice Hotels sent me a response saying they understood my disappointment with a different location, staff behavior, the ice and vending machines, and the dining hall. They said my Choice Privileges membership mattered to them, that they'd share the feedback with hotel management to improve their services, and hoped I'd have a better visit next time. It was signed Customer Care, Comfort Inn & Suites.

We had a quiet, comfortable stay in a very clean hotel. It was a short walk to local shops and restaurants, yet the area felt peaceful. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful throughout all 4 days. The pool is next door at the Holiday Inn, which surprised us, though it was easy to get to. Breakfast is served in a separate building behind a gift shop across the parking lot. The building is lovely, the breakfast room is spacious and clean, and no one made us feel we had to buy anything in the shop. The older gentleman working there was wonderful, attentive, and happy to share some history about the building and the area.

The room was updated and I was satisfied with my stay. The room reader wasn't working, but maintenance came up quickly and fixed it. Breakfast is in another location and felt a little odd, though it was top notch and nothing to complain about. I'd stay here again.
