Courtyard Columbus

We stayed on the remodeled side while the other side of the hotel was under construction, and it looked gorgeous. The restaurant staff were wonderful, and the food tasted like it had been made with love in someone’s own kitchen. We couldn’t leave without tipping them. The room was clean, and the staff treated us like royalty, welcoming and professional from start to finish. Patrice and Jackie took care of us from check-in through checkout, and I also want to thank Patricia for making such thoughtful service seem natural. From now on, 3501 Courtyard way, Columbus GA will be our hotel.

The room had a mini fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave, so we had to use the one in the lobby. The hotel is being remodeled, yet our room was clean and the service was very good. The staff tried hard to be hospitable and courteous. Ms. Toni Davis was incredibly helpful and considerate. One of my husband’s coworkers was upgraded because his room hadn’t been cleaned. Breakfast was delicious, and the person who served me on 12-30-2025 was very nice.

The room was great, but the hotel doesn’t seem to be run very well. My booking said the total due at check-in, including fees and taxes, was $137. They charged $169 because of a security deposit that wasn’t listed in my booking details. I was told the deposit would be refunded 3-5 business days after checkout. The reservation listed two 12-year-olds and me, but breakfast included only two people.

The lobby and online photos make the place look luxurious, but the rooms don’t live up to that impression. They’re old and outdated and need renovation. During my stay, renovations were happening with no signs, advance notice, or warning at check-in. I woke up the next morning, turned on the shower, and dark brown water came out. My videos don’t capture how bad it looked in person, where it was about three times darker. When I called the desk, the woman casually told me to let it run because they were renovating. I understand renovations happen, but guests should be told ahead of time. Other hotels at least leave a notice under the door. The check-in staff were friendly and welcoming, but management’s communication was extremely poor. Both communication and room quality need major improvement.
