La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coeur d`Alene

The breakfast had a great range of choices and was amazing, and the pool stays open 24 hours. Staff were so sweet, and the lobby is lovely, with computers and even a printer available. Our room was spacious and wonderful, with very comfortable beds. I believe each bed had pillows in three different densities. The bathroom and shower had great water pressure, and the tubs were really large.

Traveling for medical appointments with my dog, a boxer–pit mix, made me hesitate between an Airbnb and a hotel, but I’m glad I chose La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coeur d’Alene last week. The staff welcomed both of us so warmly and were loving toward my sweet pup, which made the appointments feel easier. It’s close to the hospital and right off the highway, and the clean, comfortable room and hot tub were welcome after long days. There were plenty of choices at the continental breakfast, too. I appreciated the kindness and hospitality, and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area for medical visits or looking for a dog-friendly place in Coeur d’Alene.

I’m very disappointed. We stayed Friday December 19th to December 20th after leaving home in a rush because of the December 16th windstorm. My wife and twin boys needed somewhere to have power and stay warm in mid-December, not a vacation. I left an AT&T Dual Port 60W Power Delivery Wall Block, a 10 Foot USB-C cord, and a branded AT&T USB-C cord in Room 409. I’d just bought this one-of-a-kind setup at the at&t on Ironwood before arriving, opened it in the room, and never took it out. My wife didn’t know I’d bought it, and with the twins to manage she didn’t pick it up when I left for work the next morning. I’ve called the front desk three times about getting it back, on 12/21, 12/22, and 12/26. Each time they promised a callback and a resolution, but I never got a call or voicemail. I expected the housekeeper who cleaned the room to turn it in to lost and found. The only thing that makes sense to me is that they thought we wouldn’t come looking and pocketed it. The hotel has my number and said they’d written it down, so I expected a response either way. I want a refund for my stay. This is ridiculous and sad. I’ll follow up 1/6/2026, more than two weeks after it happened, and expect to hear the same thing. Piss poor management.

I was there for my nephew’s wedding, but never again. My room had stained, dirty carpet and smelled like w33d. The walls had some kind of goopy residue. It looked like ten rats had been left in a room for ten years and come back to start a whole civilization. The pool and hot tub were nice, though.
